The loveliest weekend, perfect weather celebrating the Mums in our life, my own mother Sheila with a gorgeous afternoon tea catered by my sisters ( reader, I contributed nothing but my wit & a bottle of Rose ), and we celebrated my Mother in law Florence's birthday with cake & perfume (yes, I did provide the cake at least). Dutch Dutch Baby! Stop, colaborate & listen! Ok. Gen X stand down... but do listen...Inspired by the amazing @eatlikeanadult , my first Dutch Baby , a batter pudding baked then topped with all the goodness.Mr D is out being social so I made this for one, my smallest @ironcladco pan is the perfect size💪 I added parsley, Parmesan & a scrap of Emmental to the batter (mixed simply in a jug with a hand whisk ) , then topped after 15mins in the oven with pesto, prosciutto & mozzarella, a bit of fresh basil I found struggling on in the garden & a drizzle of olive oil. Forgot the tomatoes 🍅 Puffy cheesy sorta Yorkshire pudding does Italy dinner, crispy edges with a slightly soft middle , so flippin good and bugger all washing up, yeow! #dinnerforone #dutchbaby #supperforone #easydinner #nzcooks #weeknightdinner #ironcladpan #ironclad #castironcooking

Back in my sewing room, huzzah! OK only to finally hem a cute little @munaandbroad Torrens Box top I may have started in Spring (!) but still, I'll take the win. How sweet is this viscose from @drapersfabrics? I was worried it was a bit young for me but my husband made a fart joke this morning & I laughed like a drain so apparently I'm still a child anyway. Would it be a Kristina sew without an errant overlocking hole somewhere? Dear reader I never dissapoint (thankfully under the sleeve so its just between you & me) Ten weeks post op, still can't bend completely (or put my own shoes on, Mr D deserves a knighthood for that fun job😳) and I'm knackered by the end of the day but we'll get there 💪 I'm looking fwd to wearing this with navy pants and either my pink sneakers OR my green sneakers ? I'm living the flats life so may as well make it fun 😁 Actually on the subject of growing up I've finally brought myself some linen sheets. That aren't white.
